Covenant has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. Having just played yesterday, they will head out on the road to face off against the All Saints Episcopal Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Covenant comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Covenant suffered their biggest defeat since November 11, 2023 on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Brook Hill, falling 61-15. While losing is never fun, Covenant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1446th, while Brook Hill is ranked 539th).
Meanwhile, All Saints Episcopal suffered a rough 49-25 defeat at the hands of Prince of Peace on Tuesday.
Covenant's defeat was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.9 points per game. As for All Saints Episcopal, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Covenant was taken down by All Saints Episcopal 55-15 in their previous meeting on January 5th. Can Covenant avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
