Softball Recap: Ragsdale Has No Trouble Against Western Guilford

Ragsdale's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 22-4 margin over the Western Guilford Hornets. Considering the Tigers have won 12 matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Alexis Gray, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Gracie Hitchcock was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI and two doubles.

Ragsdale hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Ragsdale's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Western Guilford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

As of now, neither Ragsdale nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
