On Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Westmoore beat Grind Prep 58-53. The victory was all the more spectacular given Westmoore's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Grind Prep is ranked 12th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westmoore to victory, but perhaps none more so than Garrett Loper, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for Loper. Another player making a difference was Mishaun Graham, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Westmoore is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Grind Prep, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.
Westmoore and Yukon will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Yukon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 253 points over their last four contests. Grind Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face Premier Prep- PHHoenix.
