Excel Academy of South Shore scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 65-53 win over EPIC Academy. That looming 65-53 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Excel Academy of South Shore yet this season.
Meanwhile, Tilden's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of Goode STEM Academy by a score of 45-43.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Lunden Williams, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jose Pacheco, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Excel Academy of South Shore's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Tilden, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
