After flying high against Wenatchee last Friday, Mount Si came back down to earth. The Mount Si Wildcats took a 21-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount Tahoma T-Birds.
Felix Diaz had an outrageously good game for Mount Tahoma as he rushed for 170 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 38 receiving yards. Diaz's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.
Mount Si now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Mount Tahoma, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Si will venture away from home to challenge Bellevue at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Tahoma, they will head out to take on Central Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Mount Tahoma focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday.
