Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Downingtown East). They blew past the Oxford Hornets 20-6 on Thursday. With that victory, the Cougars brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.
Sam Wendig made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off ten hits.
