The Tahlequah Tigers lost against the Bartlesville Bruins back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Tahlequah took a serious blow against Bartlesville, falling 51-20. Tahlequah has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Tahlequah saw an underclassman step up: Kingston Hall rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown. Hall's longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.
Bartlesville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Pj Wallace, who rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 54 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Damien Niko, who picked up 191 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Tahlequah has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Bartlesville, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Tahlequah will head out on the road to face off against Putnam City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bartlesville, they will be playing at home against Putnam City North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
