The New Life Christian Academy Warriors will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Raleigh Christian Academy Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. New Life Christian Academy will be strutting in after a win while the Eagles will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Calvary Christian scored an imposing 74 points on Friday, New Life Christian Academy still came out on top. New Life Christian Academy secured a 78-74 W over the Cougar. The win was just what New Life Christian Academy needed coming off of a 72-37 loss in their prior game.
It was another big night for Ty'lik Taylor, who scored 32 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Parker, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Raleigh Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight defeat. The match between them and Fayetteville Street Christian wasn't particularly close, with Raleigh Christian Academy falling 50-31.
Despite their loss, Raleigh Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Said Lara, who scored 11 points along with five steals and two blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Johnny Mendoza was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 12 rebounds.
New Life Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Raleigh Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.

It's a different story for Raleigh Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 30.4 points per game. The only thing between New Life Christian Academy and another offensive beatdown is the Eagles. Will they be able to keep them contained?
