Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask French Settlement). They came out on top against the Slidell Tigers by a score of 59-51 on Friday. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 47-36 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2017.

French Settlement's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Acosta, who went 5 for 6 on her way to 12 points. Stella Allison was another key player, going 6 for 9 on her way to 19 points and five assists.

French Settlement has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Slidell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-4 record this season.

French Settlement didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-22 victory against Springfield on the 2nd. As for Slidell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 59-53 defeat against Thibodaux on the 3rd.
