Rivera is a perfect 6-0 against Donna North since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Raiders will look to defend their home field against the Chiefs at 6:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Rivera's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Donna North has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
On Tuesday, Rivera made easy work of Porter and carried off an 11-1 win. Considering the Raiders have won six contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Danna Ramirez spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up 14 Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Amy Rocha, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dezaray Banda, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Rivera kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. They are 5-1-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Donna North lost 18-1 to Mercedes on Tuesday.
Donna North saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Scarlett Sauceda, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Sauceda has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Rivera's victory bumped their record up to 6-9-1. As for Donna North, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Donna North's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Rivera has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Donna North, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.5 strikeouts. Will Rivera keep running through batters, or will the Chiefs buck the trend?
Everything went Rivera's way against Donna North when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Rivera made off with a 15-0 win. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Chiefs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
