South Carroll scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Urbana Hawks by a score of 70-67. The Cavaliers lost against the Hawks in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 78-40 score last time.

It was another big night for Sean Pyles, who went 9 of 21 en route to 29 points and three steals for Urbana. The matchup was Pyles' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Moses Adoko, who posted 11 points and six assists.

South Carroll now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Urbana, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

As for Urbana, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-50 victory against Francis Scott Key on the 28th.
