After a string of three wins, Central's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Holtville Vikings by a score of 3-2. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Sara Morales paced Central's offense, picking up 11 kills. Morales got some help from Maryanne Barrett and her 17 assists. Barrett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Central's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 19-13. As for Holtville, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-13.
