The Walton Braves scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Sneads with a sharp 84-60 victory. Winning may never get old, but Walton sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
It was another big night for Luke Kring, who scored 24 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. That's the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Neenan, who scored 11 points along with eight assists.
Sneads' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Nykavian Bradley, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds, and Michael Perkins who scored 15 points. That was a full 41.7% of Sneads' points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Preston White was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Walton's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Sneads, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-3.
Walton will head out on the road to face off against Freeport at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Freeport will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 568th, while Walton is ranked 93rd). As for Sneads, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Malone at 7:00 p.m. Malone is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.4 points per game.
