On Wednesday, the Muhlenberg Muhls's game was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They managed a 57-53 win over Lampeter-Strasburg. The win was all the more spectacular given Muhlenberg's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while Lampeter-Strasburg is ranked 111th).
Judah White and Justin Glick certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. White scored 14 points, while Glick scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Yasin Abdi, who scored five points along with three steals.
Muhlenberg has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.
Muhlenberg will head out on the road to face off against Wilson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Wilson comes in on five and Muhlenberg on three. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on William Penn at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th.
