Montesano came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Hoquiam Grizzlies 17-3. Considering the Bulldogs have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Montesano pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Hoquiam, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Looking ahead, Montesano will be playing at home against Bellevue Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Hoquiam, they will take on Elma at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
