Corbin Hamilton made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, earning one run and two stolen bases.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mark Carpenter, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Beau Pyle, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Henley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.
