While Stanton County put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Holcomb. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Longhorns. Considering the Trojans have won eight matches by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kaydence McCleary was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kynzi Fehringer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last four times she's played.
