Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stony Brook). They never let Putnam Science Academy get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The win was the fifth in a row for Stony Brook, bringing their record up to 15-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Putnam Science Academy, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stony Brook will challenge Hill School at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Putnam Science Academy, they will face off against Winchendon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
