After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wellston, Berne Union was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 22-5 margin over the Centennial Stars. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
Reese Besco made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Besco was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addy Kalisik, who fired off nine RBI, two triples, and three runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
