Montgomery had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Chula Vista on Friday. The Aztecs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans. The Aztecs haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Montgomery's win bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Chula Vista, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-16.

Coincidentally, Montgomery and Chula Vista will both be playing Castle Park the next time they take the court. The Aztecs will head out to face the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Spartans will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
