Softball Recap: Bunn Wins Going Away Against Northern Nash

Bunn won the last time they faced Northern Nash and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Knights. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Payton Wood and Madeline Bryson did most of the damage at the plate: Wood went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Bryson scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Bryson has posted since back in February. Peyton Alford was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.

Bunn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Bunn pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Northern Nash, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
