Churchville-Chili hasn't had much luck against Irondequoit recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Saints will take on the Eagles at 11:00 a.m. Churchville-Chili will be strutting in after a victory while Irondequoit will be coming in after a defeat.
Churchville-Chili barely beat Canandaigua Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Saints were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Braves on Friday. The contest marked the Saints' most dominant win of the season.

Bailey DiGiacomo made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those triples were her first of the season.
In other batting news, Churchville-Chili got a big performance out of Diana Morales-Negron, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those hits marked the first that Morales-Negron has got this season. Brooke DiGiacomo was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Churchville-Chili kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Irondequoit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Gates Chili. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Abby Ras made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4.
With the victory, Churchville-Chili broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5. As for Irondequoit, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Churchville-Chili beat Irondequoit 5-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
