Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Aucilla Christian had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 71-60 win over the Tigers. Aucilla Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Aucilla Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Bass, who scored 21 points along with seven assists and three steals. Bass is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ben Gamalero, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Crossroad Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Aucilla Christian, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Crossroad Academy against Aucilla Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2019 as the squad secured a 79-48 victory.
