Canyon waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Incarnate Word Shamrocks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2021.

Canyon not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Incarnate Word between 15 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15.

Canyon's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Incarnate Word, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Canyon has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Round Rock on the 21st. As for Incarnate Word, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Clear Creek on the 21st.
