Softball Recap: Brusly's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Brusly had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They never let the West Feliciana Saints get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Abigail Heidbrink looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had over her last nine contests.

At the plate, LillyRose Albarez was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zoe Fabre, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Brusly pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for West Feliciana, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Coming up, Brusly will head out on the road to challenge St. Michael at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brusly's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so St. Michael's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for West Feliciana, they will take on Tara at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
