It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They escaped with a win against Sedan by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cedar Vale/Dexter.
Cedar Vale/Dexter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Edee Boatman led the charge by scoring 15 points along with six steals. Boatman continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Davidson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Cedar Vale/Dexter has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Sedan, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-6.

Sedan will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Argonia at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th.
