Basketball Recap: Clifton Central Piles Up the Points Against Tri-Point

Clifton Central won against Grant Park last Saturday with 57 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Clifton Central Comets claimed a resounding 57-24 victory over the Tri-Point Chargers. That 33 point margin sets a new team best for the Comets this season.

Clifton Central's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6. As for Tri-Point, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clifton Central will square off against Grant Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Grant Park's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Tri-Point, they will take on St. Anne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Anne has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
