Northeastern Buckeye recap September 10, 2013
Alliance's Parrish Martin rumbled for the longest rushing play in Northeastern Buckeye this season in his game against Canfield last week. Martin ran for 80 yards on the play and finished with 135 on the day as his team defeated the Cardinals.
Louisville moved up to 141 from 238 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Leopards were able to make move up by beating Hoover 14-13.
Josh Lyon put up the best numbers in passing as Canton South topped Buckeye. He had a total of 15 completions for 183 yards. Lyon's favorite target this week was Mark Nicoletti, who caught 6 passes for 71 yards.
Martin was the most successful running back in the league this week. Demitri Lott also contributed to the rushing game with 32 yards on the ground.
JJ Kukura was the best receiver in Northeastern Buckeye this week as Alliance beat Canfield. Kukura racked up 6 receptions for 92 yards. Ryan Bevington helped Alliance's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 62 yards.
Louisville and the Vikings played the most contested game in the league this week, with Louisville eventually emerging with a 14-13 victory.
