The Southeast Lancers took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They came out on top against Erie by a score of 47-36. The team accrued 36 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southeast to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eliz White, who scored 8 points along with 5 steals. Kinzey Cassidy was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 5 steals.
Loss or not, Erie got some senior leadership from Kinzie Cleaver who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds and Alexandra Pasquarelli who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds.
Southeast's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Erie, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Southeast will be playing at home against Jasper at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jasper will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Erie, they will head out on the road to face off against Crest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
