Pierce City won the last time it faced Lockwood/Golden City, and things went their way on Friday, too. Pierce City blew past Lockwood/Golden City 36-12. Pierce City was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast. This was the first game for both teams, giving Pierce City a 1-0 record and starting Lockwood/Golden City off at 0-1.
Next week, Pierce City take on Diamond at 7:00 PM. As for Lockwood/Golden City, they will face of against Rich Hill/Hume.
