South Lamar was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell just short of the Sulligent Blue Devils by a score of  6-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to South Lamar of the  9-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2022.

 South Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Sulligent, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-7-1.
 South Lamar will head out on the road to  take on  Fayette County at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Sulligent, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Marion County at 4:30  p.m. Marion County is coming into the  contest with five straight  victories on the road,  so Sulligent will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum.
