You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Frankfort and Newport. Frankfort had enough points to win and then some against Newport on Friday, taking their contest 41-21. That result was just more of the same for Frankfort, who also won the last time these teams played.
Frankfort's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 23 points in the first half. Newport came up with 14 to make it 23-14 heading into the break. The offense for Frankfort continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 18 points to put the game away. The win got them back to even at 3-3. The loss dropped Newport's record to 3-2.
Next week Frankfort take on Shawnee at 7:30 PM. Shawnee took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Frankfort's good fortune. Newport will be staying on the road, facing off against Bellevue.
