The Heritage Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Westminster Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Heritage came up short against Flowery Branch and fell 48-35. Heritage has not had much luck with Flowery Branch recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Heritage had strong showings from Tony Green, who threw for 498 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per attempt, and Dion Dean jr, who picked up 179 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Dean jr's longest reception was for an incredible 72 yards. Another player making a difference was Myles Mims, who rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Westminster entered their tilt with Miller Grove with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Westminster blew past Miller Grove 48-14 at home. Westminster might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matchups by 30 points or more this season.
Heritage has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Westminster, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
