Basketball Recap: Oak Grove Classical Academy Find Success

On Thursday, the Oak Grove Classical Academy Owls were able to grind out a solid victory over the Menaul Panthers, taking the game 59-46.

Oak Grove Classical Academy had a senior duo take command as Brody Prochnow posted 18 points and Isaac Rush put up 17 points. Rush's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivan Moore, who had eight points.

Despite the loss, Menaul still got an impressive performance from Carlos Cummins, who went 5 of 12 en route to 15 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Brayden Chavez, who scored eight points.

Oak Grove Classical Academy now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Menaul, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Oak Grove Classical Academy will head out to face Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Menaul will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
