The Stringer Red Devils won the last time they faced the Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Stringer walked away with a 49-38 win over Mississippi School for the Deaf.
Mississippi School for the Deaf's loss came despite strong showings from DeSiare Ingram and Chloe Johnson. Ingram scored 17 points, while Johnson scored 13 points. Ingram scored a full 44.7% of Mississippi School for the Deaf's points, the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Stringer's win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-13. As for Mississippi School for the Deaf, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 5-8.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Taylorsville the next time they take the court. Mississippi School for the Deaf will head out to face Taylorsville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Stringer will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
