It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Shasta Wolves had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They managed a 17-12 victory over Enterprise. 17 seems to be a good number for Shasta as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Shasta can attribute much of their success to Owen Boesiger, who rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 41 receiving yards. Ryder May and his 82 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Shasta's victory.
When it comes to explaining why Enterprise lost, one person who can't be blamed is JJ Johnson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns.
The victory makes it two in a row for Shasta and bumps their season record up to 8-3. As for Enterprise, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Shasta will head out on the road to face off against Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Pleasant Valley will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Enterprise does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
