Medina can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 35-0 victory over Solon on the road. Given Medina's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Solon is ranked 293rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Medina's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cooper Josefczyk, who rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Danny Stoddard, who threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.2% of his passes.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, John Marshall's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 42-7 loss at the hands of Glenville. The low total for John Marshall limited their streak of high-flying scores to three in a row.
Medina is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for John Marshall, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
