The Manchester Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 24 points or more this season. They blew past Osbourn Park 58-33. Winning may never get old, but Manchester sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Mia Woolfolk continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Manchester's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayne Wright, who scored 12 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
Manchester's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Osbourn Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cosby at 7:15 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Cosby focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Thursday. Osbourn Park will be home for the holidays to greet Battlefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Battlefield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Osbourn Park likes a good challenge.
