The Manor Mustangs were the 21-7 winner over the Vista Ridge Rangers when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Manor was the victim of a tough 36-16 defeat at the hands of Vista Ridge on Friday. While losing is never fun, Manor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 319th, while Vista Ridge is ranked 154th).
Despite the loss, Manor still got an impressive performance from Titus Petteway, who rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Grant Anderson was a one-man wrecking crew for Vista Ridge as he rushed for 139 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 126 yards and a touchdown.
Manor has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Vista Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Manor will head out on the road to face off against Round Rock Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vista Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Vandegrift at 7:00 p.m. Vandegrift is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
