While it was all tied up 33-33 at halftime, the Central Hawks were not quite the Marion County Eagles's equal in the second half on Friday. The contest between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Central falling 74-60. They were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Marion County apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Demarcus White, who scored 24 points. The game was White's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Seldon, who scored 18 points.
Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Marion County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Central will head out on the road to face off against Harris County at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Harris County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Marion County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Crawford County at 7:30 p.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Crawford County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
