Two dominant guards in Jesstynie Scott and Jariah Williams are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Sumter County Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Worth County Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Sumter County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 48.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 49-37 victory over Dodge County.
Worth County posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They put the hurt on Cook with a sharp 60-39 win. The victory was just what Worth County needed coming off of a 70-50 loss in their prior contest.
Worth County found their leader in underclassman Williams, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Worth County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenslie Puckett, who scored three points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Sumter County's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Worth County, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
