Floyd Central  took care of business in their home opener  (and then some) on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Charlestown Pirates with a sharp  10-1 win. Floyd Central haven't had any issues with Charlestown recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.
Floyd Central's offense was hitting Charlestown from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal.  Amelia Kaml led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Floyd Central is packing up and heading out  for their first away game of the season: they will  face off against  Heritage Hills  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Charlestown, they will head out to  take on Jennings County  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
