ERIE, Pa. - After taking the lead in the fourth quarter,
Cathedral Prep (Erie, Pa.) held on for a 27-13 victory over
West Allegheny (Imperial, Pa.) on Saturday. The difference for the Ramblers was
Damion Terry thew a touchdown to
Delton Williams.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Chayse Dillon, the Indians went into halftime with a 10-6 lead. The Ramblers took the lead for good with a Terry touchdown pass to Williams in the fourth quarter.
The loss snapped West Allegheny's 8-game winning streak.
Williams played well for Cathedral Prep in the victory. The senior running back ran for one touchdown and caught two touchdowns. He has now scored 28 touchdowns on the season.
Evan Pelcher played well for WA. The senior kicked two field goals and one extra point.
The Imperial school's lone touchdown came on a 12-yard run by Dillon in the second quarter.
CP went into the matchup giving up only 10.2 points per game. The Indians' 13 points were well below their season average of 23.5 per game.
In its next matchup the Erie school (13-0) will take on West Allegheny in a playoff game. The Indians go into the week with a record of 12-1.
