In what's become a running theme this season, the Caston Comets gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They beat West Central by the very same score they won with last week: 80-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Caston has posted since November 21, 2023.
Caston had a senior duo take command as Caleb Stinson scored 26 points along with three steals and Talon Zeider scored 19 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stinson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Clingler, who scored eight points.
Caston pushed their record up to 6-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for West Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caston will take on Pioneer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Winamac at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
