If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for West Delaware. The Eastside and Westside will square off on Friday when they and Waterloo East meet at 7:00 PM. West Delaware strut in flaunting some offensive muscle with an average of 30.75 points per game.
West Delaware had a rough outing against Decorah-North Winneshiek two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. West Delaware put a hurting on Charles City to the tune of 69-28. The victory was a breath of fresh air for West Delaware as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Waterloo East took a serious blow against Decorah-North Winneshiek last Friday, falling 0-48.
West Delaware's win lifted them to 3-5 while Waterloo East's loss dropped them down to 0-9. We'll see if West Delaware's success rolls on or if Waterloo East are able to steal their positive momentum.
