Bandys had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the North Surry Greyhounds on Tuesday as the Bandys Trojans made off with a 60-40 win. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Lexi Vaughan was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 24 points and 19 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 17 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Bell, who went 6-for-10 en route to 15 points and four steals.
Bandys has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for North Surry and nudges their season record down to 16-10.
Coming up, Bandys will venture away from home to challenge Southwestern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Surry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
