Warner extended the longest winning streak in Lake Region (9 Man) this week by beating Leola/Frederick, 49-14. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Faulkton was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. The Trojans defeated Langford 22-16 earlier in the week.
Ipswich/Edmunds Central's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Lane Myer threw for 70 and one touchdown and Daniel Baer had 26 yards receiving. On the ground Alex Marsh chipped in 153 yards. Brayden Thares helped Ipswich/Edmunds Central's passing attack out by catching four balls for 22 yards.
Kyle Hall made the biggest impact on defense this week as Faulkton bested the Lions. The 5-foot-8 senior racked up two sacks.
The Tigers' Myer and Thares have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Myer has thrown for 869 yards this season, while Thares, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 23 catches for 389 yards. Shayne Geditz's team's Darin Wieseler leads the league in rushing yards with 1120.
A big matchup in Lake Region (9 Man) this week will be when Langford takes on Ipswich/Edmunds Central. Paul Raasch's team is currently in fifth, while Brian Hogie's team is in fourth.
Warner took down the Titans 49-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
