The Independence Eagles were the 26-21 winner over the Summit Spartans when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The game between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Independence falling 32-17. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Although Independence took the loss, they still got scores from Luke Mcneilly and Clay Davis.
Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Summit, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Independence is on the road again on Friday and play against Smyrna at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Smyrna will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Summit, they will head out on the road to face off against Antioch at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
