The Central Braves entered their tilt with the Webster Warriors with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Central enjoyed a cozy 63-48 victory over the Warriors on Tuesday. Given Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Warriors are ranked 380th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Webster's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Terrance Franklin, who scored nine points along with two blocks. Hondo Avington was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Central's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Webster, their defeat was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-16.
Central will square off against the Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Webster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
