Ada-Borup posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 76-45 victory over Thief River Falls on the road. With Ada-Borup ahead 38-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
It was another big night for Cadyn Dahl, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Cameron Spaeth, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Lake Park-Audubon's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 67-43 defeat at the hands of Barnesville. While losing is never fun, Lake Park-Audubon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while Barnesville is ranked 96th).
Ada-Borup's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.1 points per game. As for Lake Park-Audubon, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
Ada-Borup took their win against Lake Park-Audubon in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 69-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ada-Borup since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
